Lord Justice Green
Lord Justice Green was called to the Bar in 1986. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 1998 and a Recorder in 2003. At the Bar he specialised in EU law, constitutional and public law, competition and economic regulatory law, and general civil and commercial law. He was Chair of the Bar Council in 2010. He was appointed Chair of the Advocacy Training Council in 2011.

He was appointed to the High Court in October 2013 (Queen’s Bench Division, now King’s Bench Division) and was made a Presiding Judge on the South Eastern Circuit in 2016. He was appointed Chair of the Law Commission in August 2018 and a Lord Justice of Appeal in October 2018. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Leicester. He holds both a Ph.D and an LL.D.

Mike Freer
Mike Freer was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice on 20 September 2022, where his responsibilities include Courts, Legal Services and International Engagement. He was Minister for Exports and Minister for Equalities between September 2021 and 6 July 2022. Mike was Assistant Government Whip between June 2017 and July 2018.

He was also Lord Commissioner of the Treasury from July 2018 to December 2019 and served as Comptroller of Her Majesty’s Household from December 2019 to September 2021. He was first elected as a Member of Parliament for Finchley and Golders Green, in North London, in May 2010.
